Where did Lizzie go?
Bonus for my blog readers:
I try to do an interview with Taylor each birthday so that I can track how she views the world. Last year didn’t go so well and she had so desire to sit and answer my questions or if she did, she did it very silly. This year went much better, but ever since I did it she keeps “interviewing” me. I love the mimicking she is into lately but also need to remember what I say and do!

I love how a walk to the mailbox turned into a walk that kept going until we got to a park nearby. I also love that there was a playscape at the park, but our girl had more fun creating a game out of jumping from rock to rock. I am so thankful to live in a city where parks are plentiful and rocks and trees lead to fun adventures! I normally try to make Taylor Tuesday pictures of just Taylor, but Lizzie is like a little shadow to Taylor and wants to do everything she does right now.
While I can count on Taylor to provide me with sweet photos, Elizabeth provides me with entertaining photos. Elizabeth has learned to say 'No' and this is a relief from her previous grunts and can be funny. Here she is telling me 'No, no, no, no' and batting away my help while I explain that we go down the slide and not up. While frustrating to hear, she does have a cute voice while saying it.
I want to remember my girls through their different stages and right now Taylor thinks that her socks should be pulled all the way up to her knees. This wasn't a problem in the winter, but now that we are in shorts and dresses/skirts season it makes for a unique look.
Four years ago I became a Mom. This tiny little human came into the world and changed our world in the best way ever. I am still trying to figure out how this little thing
grew some
grew some more
and even more
and has now become our sweet little four year old. How did she get to be four???! We lucked out this year and were able to celebrate on her actual birthday(saves for much confusion in four year old world). What better way to celebrate your 4th than with a Hello Kitty bounce house party. I’m not sure if the birthday girl or little sister had more fun bouncing and sliding.
Thank you to all our friends and family who helped make Taylor’s birthday so much fun!
Lots of giggles and squeals could be heard coming from our backyard on this afternoon. At least I don’t have to worry about texting while driving yet!
Every week while Taylor takes dance class I chase Lizzie around the waiting area trying to keep her out of too much trouble. She can be very busy but also makes me laugh with her funny ways. This little table was not meant for her to sit on or even in! After a few minutes she had to inform me ‘suck’ or stuck in Lizzie language. I wish I could say this kept her from doing it to the other side.
Don't double check your calendar because it is Wednesday, but I don't think you're too shocked by now to receive these a day or two late. It was pretty hard to pick a picture out of all the great ones from our Easter weekend. Taylor had a blast chasing everyone and crushing cascaronas on their heads. Better watch out Jefe and Shelly, this weekend was our practice round and now we are ready for when you get back!
I think it’s a requirement if you a)live in Texas and b)have kids, to go get photos of the kids in bluebonnets. Last year there wasn’t a huge population of flowers, but this year they seem to be on every corner. A couple weekends ago I made Chris walk with us to a patch of bluebonnets near the house.(too bad it takes me until now to get the pictures up) Taylor embraced the sunshine and loved the field of butterflies and flowers.
riding in style
this little one did not want to have her picture taken.
she wanted to play with the buckle in the wagon
or scowl at me
lil stinker
chris and I trade out on taking pictures depending on who the kids need
he caught this cool photo of lizzie in my shadow
no special photo editing here, just random luck and fun little person face
trusting dad
free spirit, loves this dress, wants to wear this dress everyday, I love this dress too, do they make my size?
learning about the cat claw on a bluebonnet that was laying on the ground. I promise we didn’t pick a flower, but I will admit that I never knew about the cat claw.
sweetness and fun sunlight on blonde hair
“I pack-pack.” in Lizzie translates to “I’ve got my backpack(s) and am ready to take Taylor to preschool.”
We found out about a neighborhood egg hunt last minute and I was a bit worried that Lizzie might still be too small to understand the concept. Her love for bags, or anything with a handle, came in handy. In the 15 minutes before we left the house she had already filled it with toys and trinkets to take with her. This girl was ready. Taylor is an old pro at this, just not as competitive as the Lambert gene can be. (warning: lots of photos in this post)
Taylor is the best at posing for me and looking sweet ~ Lizzie ready to start the hunt
my favorite big person & my favorite littlest person
