Each month creeps up on me faster and faster. I took the pictures on time, but am just a few days late on getting the blog post up. Elizabeth has really moved out of the infant stage and more into baby stage. She is no longer happy just laying on a blanket on her back, but prefers to be sitting up so that she can see what is going on.
Here are a few more things she is into this month:
- Around 16 lbs, wears 3-6 month clothes but ready to move up soon due to her sweet chubby arms and legs, wears size 2 diapers
- Nicknames: Lizzie, Sister, Littlest One, Liz, Pickle
- Finally rolled from her back to her tummy. Chris swears she did this for him a few times, but it was on a bed and I think he was secretly helping her. Once on her tummy, she gets mad and wants to be back on her back or sitting up.
- Elizabeth can sit up with assistance and even without for very short periods of time. This welcomed a whole new world of toys and playtime. It also made me realize that our house is not ‘baby-choking hazard’ proof due to Taylor’s big kid toys.
- Experience her first time in the swing and I’m still not sure if she liked it or not.
- The 4 month old shots were hard on Elizabeth. She only wanted to be rocked by me and I had to be super gentle when handling that area of her legs. Luckily, she also found paci to be very comforting during this hard day and it has continued to be a favored item.
- Elizabeth has figured out that most toys serve an additional function besides going in her mouth. This month’s photo session was entertaining when she figured out that she does not like the way Mr. Bear tastes. Must be a texture thing.
- We now have to be careful of where the remote control or our cell phones are while holding/playing with Elizabeth. She will grab them as soon as she can.
- I am trying to figure out why we buy her toys when she would be just as happy with the package of wipes or a water bottle.
- After visiting the doctor for her 4 month checkup, he gave us the go ahead for solid foods. She loved rice cereal and did great so we have ventured on to green beans, apples, and bananas.
- Elizabeth LOVES Taylor! Taylor has been the person to get the most giggles out of Elizabeth and I love watching their relationship grow. Sometimes I feel like she is about to jump out of my arms to get to Taylor and she is going to be Taylor’s shadow as soon as she start crawling.
- I was really hoping this wouldn’t happen for a few more months, but Elizabeth is already showing Mommy anxiety and screamed for 6 hours the last time we had a baby sitter. Needless to say, this Momma is hoping this phase passes VERY quickly!
- My sweet girls look a lot alike, but they are very different babies. Elizabeth is a very determined baby, is my stealth spitter(spit up), her hair is still a light brown, not much of a snuggler , and sometimes snorts when she gets frustrated.

She and Taylor do look a lot alike! She's so precious and I cannot believe she's already 5 months old! I love that first picture!
Does she sleep well? I'm REALLY hoping this one will sleep better than Hayzen did. How far apart are they? Mine are going to be 2 years 5 months. Not too bad!
She looks like such a little girl now! And so precious!!! I love her smile.
