Where have we been
It's funny that as it took me a few days to write this post that a sweet friend seems to have 'keep this mommy from blogging' issues. Glad to know that I'm not alone in the blogging funk! So to any of my lovely readers that are still hanging in there, know that our regular schedule will return just in time to keep you from Oprah withdrawals.

Taylor Tuesday
Where Daddy goes with his tools, even the playscape, Taylor goes with hers too. She was showing me what they were working on and how she needed an extendo-arm to help Daddy reach better. Oh the imagination of a three year old!

Giggles for M&Ms
After a long day with Elizabeth being super fussy, it was amazing what simple things made her happy at the end of the day. I set her down on the bed with Taylor to a bib and witnessed this sweet sister moment. Chris and I work really hard to try and get giggles out of Elizabeth and all it takes is for Taylor to shake a cup of M&Ms to make her laugh. I give up!

Taylor Tuesday
Taylor loved the view as she fed the flamingos at Sea World. Nothing like a Daddy to make things even more fun!

Makeover
I have been blogging for about 4 years now and about ummm… a year ago I stopped using freebie backgrounds and thought I would study blogger enough to create my own. A year went by and no new background and I still had the basic font header. It’s said that I can’t even tell you how I came across penny lane designs, but I did and fell in love with her chic designs and clean lines. Unfortunately she wasn’t taking any new projects at the time. I have been stalking her blog since, just waiting for her to open back up to new projects. She finally did and now I have this beautiful new blog and a fancy signature too! Just a little eye candy for blog followers or maybe my Mom since I can guarantee that she makes a daily visit here for a granddaughter fix. Hope you enjoy the new colors and layout!

Elizabeth was very excited about the sippy cups the Easter Bunny put in her basket and even found a way to drink while trying to crawl.

Family pictures
On Saturday, a sweet friend(who is also a photographer) let me get out from behind the camera and capture our family in photos. The nice thing about the girls being 2 1/2 years apart is that we were able to get 3 year old photos of Taylor and 6 month old photos of Elizabeth. She has a few photos up and I keep going back a couple times a day just to look at them. She is awesome to work with and I never felt like we were in awkward posing and most of the time we were just playing and having fun as a family.
Thank you Heather! Can’t wait to see how you will capture our family over the years!
Now you see her, now you don’t
I’ve always heard the second kid will keep you on your toes, but I didn’t know that we would have a Houdini on our hands. Elizabeth is not crawling yet, but scooting away. She falls onto her belly and then turns herself around on her belly in the direction she needs to go. I thought we were good until I found her across the room one day. So I sat down with her(and my camera of course) to see what was happening.
You will also be amused by Taylor’s help in the audio part.
After a few rounds of this scooting, Elizabeth was frustrated and stuck under the TV stand.
(no comments on my stellar baby proofing on the cabinet)
I figure this means crawling of some type is soon to come and in the meantime you will find me sorting through all of Taylor’s tiny Tinkerbelle toys and wondering how I am going to keep these out of Elizabeth’s little hands!
Taylor Tuesday
A sunny, but not too hot, day last week called for a walk to the park. While Elizabeth slept, Taylor and I enjoyed some balance beam(toddler version) tricks. I love the patterns she came up with and how falling off the beam and getting back on was part of her routine. Of course we had to hold our arms out for balance like Aunt Shelly taught her! This picture was during the squat part of her routine.
