Since it's already summer here in Austin, we pulled the sprinkler out one evening and let Taylor have fun. She kept getting upset that the water would spray her in the face so we taught her to turn her back to the sprinkler when it bothered her eyes. Maybe next time we'll get a swimsuit on her... or maybe not.

Taylor Tuesday volume 2
Nesting or just plain cleaning out??
I’m not sure if I’ve already got nesting setting in, the urge to purge all unused items, or just plain belated spring cleaning. It’s still spring in some states right??? I love my stamps, but as I was making some birthday cards over the weekend I realized that there were a few that I haven’t used in some time. It’s only fair to these sweet little jewels to give them a home where they might be used and I’ve tried eBaying stamps in the past and found it just isn’t worth my time for the few dollars I make on them. So I thought I would see if any of my readers would like to adopt them. If you aren’t local then I would ask for you to cover the shipping costs, but that’s it. I will leave them posted for a few weeks and then what’s not taken will be given away. Some of these stamp sets are just like new.
Miracle of Spring ~ Itty Bitty Backgrounds(taken) ~ Mixed Greetings
Holiday Spirit (taken)~ Ho-Ho-Holidays ~ Fishy Friends
Big Deal Alphabet (there are only 12 blocks but the letters are mounted on each side) taken
Just leave me a comment and let me know which one you would like and I’ll set it aside for you if you promise to love them and be creative with them :)

Taylor Tuesday
It was so hard to pick my picture for today since I have a whole weekend's worth of pictures to pick from this time. I love this picture bc it shows how much Taylor loves and looks up to her cousins. She couldn't wait to see them Saturday and kept asking for Jojo and Kailee. She wants to be just like them and do whatever they are doing and I LOVE it!
Have a great Tuesday!

Owl Dress Winner!
With some help from a short person, we have a winner of the owl dress….
And in case you can’t read it… Annalee!
Thank you for all the sweet comments on my sewing creation! I might just have to pick up extra fabric next time I make another pillowcase dress to make more than one again :)
Taylor Tuesday
Sometimes I wonder why it takes me a bit longer to get the housework done and then I am reminded of my cute little helper. And no I didn't catch her with her eyes closed, this is how she says 'cheese' now. I think we need to work on her sheet folding skills but when it comes to folding fitted sheets she will need to consult someone else.

Taylor Tuesday
I'm not sure what Taylor was trying to 'fix' on her baby doll the other day, but at least she was trying to be safe by wearing her goggles.

I <heart> my sewing machine
My sewing machine and I have a love-hate relationship. It loves to make the simple sewing hard and I then hate to use it. I have all these grand dreams of cute projects while at Joanns or Hobby Lobby and then get the fabric home only to get death glares from the sewing machine. I have to admit that it was pretty nice to me last time and I made a pillowcase without too many words that Taylor shouldn’t hear. And most of those were from trying to follow instructions online rather than issues with the actual machine.
Now that I have entered my second trimester the craft room is calling my name and I ventured in. It’s sad to say that I have had this extremely cute owl fabric for a dress for Taylor since late January and it’s just been sitting there waiting patiently. With some great love from my sewing machine, it is now the cutest little dress!
Don’t you just love those cute little owls??? I think it helps that I think of the funny noise Taylor makes for them each time I look at the fabric. I’m not sure what I was thinking when I bought the fabric, but I WAY over estimated on the amount and had just the right amount to make another dress. So I went ahead and made another while the sewing machine was loving me and I’m giving it away to whoever wants it. I know several of my blog followers have girls that might be too little for this, but she’ll eventually grow into it! So leave me a comment and let me know if you want to win one of these dresses and I’ll draw a name next Monday. ***Disclaimer: these dresses are by no means perfect, but made with lots of love and will fit from 12 months to I believe 3T/4T depending on how tall your little one is.***
I continued to spend some time with the sewing machine and made Taylor another pillow case. This one went much better than her Cars one. It was so much easier to just make a pillow based on a regular pillowcase and not cutesy pattern from online. Taylor was so excited to see her ‘do do Dora’ pillow as she calls it.
That’s it for my sewing, but stay tuned as I go back to my original love, stamping, for some Mother’s Day cards!
